Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Virtual Assistant (VA)?
A virtual assistant (typically abbreviated to VA, also called a virtual office assistant) is generally self-employed and provides professional administrative, technical, or creative (social) assistance to clients remotely from a home office.
Why should I hire First Call VA Services?

How much does First Call VA Services charge?
Rather than charging a set rate, First Call VA Services will quote you on the scope of work you require. I’ll send you a brief to complete so that I can provide you with a full quote or proposal pending the tasks required.
When you choose to work with me, you’re paying for my years of experience, creativity, technical know-how, excellent reputation and my commitment to your project.
If you would like a price range, contact me with a brief description of the work required.
How do Clients generally send work through to VAs?
Most clients communicate their tasks and projects using email, phone, text messages or messenger. There is no right or wrong way to send work through. I have even been known to collect work from the client’s office if it is convenient. It’s not very different from working in a traditional ‘bricks and mortar’ office really.
What are First Call VA Services business hours?
My office hours are Monday to Friday 9 am – 5 pm. I will work outside these hours at times, but it is not expected of my clients that I am available 24hours.
What are the advantages of working with First Call VA Services?
I will only invoice you for the time spent on your tasks. I use time tracking software that tracks my hours and allows me to attach a timesheet with my invoice.
By working with me, I will be familiar with the way you and your business operates. This will help me to grow with your business and allow you more time to run your business rather than be bogged down in paperwork.
My ability to work unsupervised helps you to worry about running your business rather than having to micro-manage an admin person.
My skills become your assets. It is costly and time-consuming training new staff on the skills required. First Call VA Services has the skills you need saving you time and money.
